On Homosexuality/Trans Sexuality
Posted by: in Blogger on June 26th, 2005
It’s clear to me that the world is suffering from this fear of discomfort… or heck, a fear of working hard. This issue about transgender, and maybe even homosexuality, I think, is a symptom of this. Pople know what is right because it made that clear to them. His truth is clear and relevant to us all (Romans 1)… And that truth does not include homosexuality and Tran sexuality. I do believe that people have legitimate feelings towards these issues… In fact I would probably even assert that everyone experiences these difficulties in one way or another. After all, it’s the flesh in us that tempts us to rebel against God’s truth. The problem lies with this unwillingness to go against the grain, to fight against the flesh and to live in God’s truth. Unfortunately, as the Israelites in the desert, unable to enter into the promised land, they would rather settle for senseless wandering, rather than fighting these battles within them and remain true to the Lord Jesus Christ. They don’t realize that the battle is already won; the victory is in Christ.

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. These whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
