Who has despised the day of small things?

Well I was presented again today with yet another example of how God looks after us in the little things. I was running a little late… Actually really late… on my way to work today. Somehow I had in my head that the GO Train was coming at 4:55. Unfortunately, it actually comes at 4:50. Well, I didn’t realize this until 4:47 when I finally decided to check – that is, double check – what time it should be here. So go go go, I’m out the door by 4:48, briskly walking, really, as opposed to running, cause I was listening for the train. I was gonna jet if I heard the ding ding.

But yah, didn’t hear it. Why? Cause it was actually on the track already. 4:51, I round the corner and watch as it pulls away. LOL. I’m freaking out, cause this is exactly what happened last week, and I had to call in late. This isn’t good cause I’m still on probation at work technically (I’m going on my 6th of 10 shifts). 4:53, I make it to the platform (I’m just normal walking now – in fact, even slower than normal) and call in to work. Well actually I couldn’t call in yet. Somehow I decide not to cancel my ticket (I have a 10-ride pass, that you have to “cancel” every time you uses one). Then I pull out my cell phone and call in to work. First try – manager isn’t there. So I call home to get the other number. Second try, supervisor’s there. Guess what, the shift is canceled! I was like, what!! Good thing I missed the train. And good thing I didn’t cancel my ticket (which I actually almost did…) woulda been a waste of $3.80.

So yeah. I know it’s small. And insignificant. But God expects our faithfulness in the things that seem small and insignificant too. Like the story of Lawrence Jensen of one of the Capernwray students singing while she was cleaning toilets. How it brightened up his day, and all she was doing was praising God while she was doing the “insignificant”. God has a purpose for all things…

Oh yeah and now I get to go to the Rooted concert tonight. Hopefuly it’ll be good. They lean a little too much on the charismatic side for me…

For my next part, I thought I’d share some photos from last weekend. Ate Analynn and Kuya Ryan’s Wedding.

James and I were the “band”. It’s actually the first time we played together in a while.

What a sexy guy. I actually don’t even like this picture much. I only include it cause of the 90 bucks we spent on that tux rental.

The groomsmen with Kuya Ryan.

With Ate Analynn. I jsut realized that there’s no pictures of the groomsmen and the bridesmaids together… Hmm.

Little family portrait. My parents were sponsors.

And finally, of course. Ending off with the sexy MC (or… Emcee as Ate Analynn wrote it, lol). Acutally I’m one of the MCs, it was me and her friend Hazel.

LOL. Over all that was a pretty fun night. Open bar. Hmmm.. LOL. A really really good DJ. And just generally… well you know, being the first wedding being really involved in (that I remember, aparently, I was ring bearer for almost all of my mom’s sisters who got married after her). So yeah. Horay.

Coming up soon, I wanna take pictures of all of my work places. Also, there’s alot going on in Canadian Politics. What with 2 key elections coming up (Toronto Municipal, and the Liberal Leadership Convention), I need to get my politics blog up quick. Oh and LOL to Joe Volpe, you nub. He just got fined $ 20,000. He really needs to quit…

Ow yah…

What a way to celebrate my 200th post. Ow yah… by passing my G2 exit…

For those who don’t know, here in Canada, we are on a “Graduated Licensing System” That is, you have to go through levels of licenses before you are “fully” licensed. Each province have slightly different requirements, but they’r eall pretty much the same. The first license possible, which you can get here in Ontario at the age of 16, is the G1 – what some people may know as a Learners Permit. To drive with a G1, you need to be with a fully licensed driver who has had at least 4 years of experience. In order to get your G1, all you need to do is a written exam.

Next in the chain is the G2 license. Which allows you to drive by yourself with some restrictions: Absolutely Zero blood-alcohol level (which implies that some people can drive after drinking… mroe on that later), can’t have more people in the car than seat belts (again implies that you can have more people in the car with a different license… more on thatl ater)… But the most important thing there is that for the first 6 months, G2 drivers who are under 19 can only carry 1 passanger in the car at a time. To get to the G2, you need to do a G1-Exit Road Test, also know as the “City Test”. Which you can do either after 1 year with G1, or after 8 months if you have a driving school certificate.

Alright, we get to me. The final level – that is the full license is the G license. They call it that by the way cause the “class” of vehicles that we drive are “G”. Motorcycles are M. E are school buses wityh up to 24 passengers. But the best if the B class, which allows you to drive almost every license class (except A and M). Anyways that’s besides the point cause I don’t plan to drive shcool buses. G is all I need, and possibly M… sometime in the future, when I’m no longer subject to the rules of my parent’s home. LOL.

To get to the G, you need the… whaddayaknow G2-Exit Road Test. Which actually is part “City Test” – like the G1 Exit, but also part “Highway Test”. And of course it’s alot stricter.

Anyway, here’s the deal with my license specifically – and all licenses in general. They expire. Uhuh, of course licenses expire, can’t have em forever. Gotta take a new picture and stuff right. That’s every 5 years. Now let’s count back here now. 5 years expiration, I got my license the day I turned 16… And I’m about to turn 21. Yup my license was about to expire. So this is why it was really urgent for me to get this test. This is the last stipulation (that i’m going to explain… there are others of course) for the G2 license. You need to be fully licensed before your license expires, or else, you get bumped back down to G1. And it has happened. Most recently, to a friend of my who I’m not going to mention, LOL. But you know who you are and you read my blog. So LOL!

Actually it was kind of a good thing – for me that is, not for him – that this happened to my friend, cause it really woke me up. I’ve been procrastinating on my license for so long. To show the length of this procrastination, the first opportunity I had to take my G2-Exit was the summer before I left for Capernwray the first time. Uhm… LOL. that’s 3 years ago now. Then I had the opportunity again pretty much every summer (and Spring, and Fall… just not winter) to do my exam. But nope. Been lazy about it.

So now, here I am sitting, I think it was June or July, when I get this letter from the Ministry of Transportation. It was a reminder of all of that. Then a little later than that, I hear about my friend loosing his license. So yeah, that really got me going – though technically I still procrastinated a little bit. I didn’t book an exam until early August, which meant that today was just about the first opportunity I would have had to do it. Almost exactly 1 month to the day that my license expires.

Phew. So yeah. Horay for me. I’m now a fully licensed driver. And now that that’s done, I’m gonna go renew my license, after I beautify myself a little bit. LOL. My image with the gotee and short hair is officially going to be my image for at least the next 5 years.

Brilliant Idea…

I had a brilliant idea today on how I’m going to start/launch my politics blog, while also working to redesign my blog (as well as to move it to Wordpress)… ok well actually it’s not that brilliant, basically I’m gonna do it together.

Anyway, starting very soon (as in right after I finish this blog) I’ll create a new blog using Wordpress and link it to these ones. Actually, well I’ll create the blog, but I really doubt I’ll actually do anything serious with it tonight. Actually, in fact. LOL I didn’t realize it was 3AM, I’ll do it tommorow… but meh, that’s my intentions! Horah, we’re treading into the depths of the unknown here… LOL.

Well since I’m not going to start be making a politics blog just now, and the reason why I had this sudden boost of energy to create one was this story anyway… I’ll speak out on it now. Ooh. That actually sounds like a good name for the blog… “Speak Out” LOL. But meh, it sounds really Liberal. And I want to put it in some form of bible verse or somethign. But anyway, that’s not my point…

My point is this. Joe Volpe. Just… Quit. Just forget it man. You’re not going get elected leader of the Liberal party. And you’re not ever going to be the Prime Minister of Canada. In fact. I’ll make this promise now. If somehow Joe Volpe won this leadership race, I’m going to become a member of the Liberal Party of Canada, for as long as he’s leader (which can be 10+ years, which the average time for leaders of a party), and of course, vote Liberal. Now if you know me at all, you’ll know why I cringe at the thought of that… becoming a Liberal for a decade. But yes, this is how sure I am of Joe Volpe’s defeat in December’s Liberal leadership convention.. I will renounce the Conservative Party and become a Liberal!

LOL. Anyway. This is why: “Dozens of people in Montreal, including the dead, have been improperly signed up as federal Liberal party members.” LOL. And whaddaya know, guess who’s leadership campaign signed these dead people up? Joe Volpe. “Using membership lists from the Quebec wing of the federal Liberal party, the Star talked to more than 70 families who reported significant problems in their own case, or in that of other family members. Most often, they hadn’t paid the membership fee which party rules stipulate must be paid by the actual member… Toronto MP Joe Volpe’s campaign was named as having paid for the memberships for nine people, according to Star interviews. Scores of others don’t know who called them. A Volpe campaign insider said last night the instructions were that the Volpe name wasn’t generally to be cited in telephone recruitment.” (www.torontostar.com)

Ok. Joe Volpe is an idiot. Actually wait no, let’s not start with that. Let’s start with… Either Joe Volpe actually is corrupt as suggested before (oh yeah, that’s not his first scandal… He also has the “Kiddie Donor” scandal from around the beginning of the campaign when a bunch of teenagers donated something like $27k to his campaign…). Or he’s so incompetent, stupid, or idiotic, that he doesn’t know what’s going on in his campaign.

Here’s a fact. Every single leader of the Liberal Party of Canada but one, (not including interim leaders – that is, acting leaders, while they choose a new one after the resignation of the old one) went on to become Prime Minister. So with that fact in mind. Whoever becomes the leader of the liberals will most likely become the Prime Minister too. Hopefully not for a few long years, while the Conservatives whip the country back into shape. But – and this is why I’m following the Leadership convention so closely, even though I’m not a Liberal – I do accept that eventually the Liberals will retake the government.

So yeah. Joe Volpe. Just… quit. Forget it man, it’s not gonna happen.

Horrific GO Train Ride…

Well I got my first taste of rush hour on the GO Train today, and it wasn’t pretty. Problem is that it’s really cramped when we’re sitting down (no one really stands up on the go train unless it’s really ridiculous rush hour, like 8AM – 9AM, and like 5PM – 6PM). So yeah, I didn’t really enjoy it all that much. I actually thought the train would be empty cause it was an express… but the fact that it was an express should have been a clue to me that it would be busy… Meh what do I know about rush hour traffic really. Normally, I take the train at 10AM or 11AM in the morning, and like 9PM at night. So this was unusual for me.

Anyway, the reason why I was taking the GO train is the party that I left… I guess you can kindof call it a rehearsal dinner, but not really… it’s dinner that follows the Wedding rehearsal, but not exactly like the rehearsal dinners that follow wedding rehearsals (it was more just a party than a formal thing). So yeah, here’s my crazy day…

Since I was the last one to go to the rehearsal, I was nominated to take the car with me, which I don’t normally have on Thursdays. But I had to figure out like, the best way and stuff to get to school then to Morningstar then to the rehearsal, (which after all the trouble I went through, I was still late for).

So my day started at 5:30 in the morning – my typical Thursdays, to teach my Korean kids English. After that (9:30AM) I decided I would take a nap instead of going straight to school cause I was really tired (normally I would be on the 10AM GO train) so I was on the 11AM GO Train to school. Unfortunately that train doesn’t leave much time for me to get to class in time, I was actually like 5 minutes late, which would have been ok for a tutorial (Some Tuesdays and Thursdays, I need to be at school by 11AM, but since there’s no way for me to make the 9AM trains, I have to make do with the 10AM). But for lectures, especially this particular one, it’s not good. That’s cause I need to sit in a very specific part of the lecture hall, cause I have to leave early to get to my next class.

So yeah, the other thing about taking a nap instead of going straight to school was not having the time to have my lunch/brunch. So I was really tired, so I actually left that lecture a little early to get something to eat (stupid expensive burger from the street vendors on St. George St.).

I had 3 straight classes – 4 straight hours of lectures… actually a good thing for me cause then they’re not scattered everywhere. The bad thing is that I have to run to the other end of campus to get to my last two lectures. Which sucks cause the stupid profs of that class (Canadian History) start right on the hour, which they’re not supposed to (schedules in UofT actually start 10 minutes past the hour, gives people time to get to buildings that they need to). What this means for me cause it takes me like 10-15 minutes to get to my 2nd lecture from my 1st is that I perpetually need to leave my 1st lecture early to get to my second on time, which when I get there, I’m not even on time, cause the stupid prof started early. Worst thing is, it’s not lecture stuff that I’m missing… I can deal with that. I’ll get notes from someone or read the book extra carefully. But I’m missing like important administrative announcements…

But anyway, enough of that rant… After that I have a 2 hour lecture to finish off my school day, then I have to run back to Scarborough to teach piano at Morningstar.Problem with today was, that I had to take the go train home so I could pick up the car, instead of taking the TTC like I would normally do. So, I had to leave my last lecture early to make sure that I got to the station in time so that I wouldn’t miss my train. Problem is, I didn’t realize that they’re on a different schedule (hence me getting on an express), I mean that was actually good for me cause I got home earlier than I expected. But on the other hand, I coulda left school later, and not skipped part of a lecture that I really shouldn’t have skipped (I was struggling a little to understand the concepts, bur I’ll make do). So yeah, I got to chill at home for a little bit.

Anyway, because of that, getting to work at Morningstar actually wasn’t as hectic as I originally was prepared for. But getting to the rehearsal was… Not that it mattered. I actually thought it was going to be more formal than it was. After rehearsal, was the party thing. Which brings us to now. I’m typing this right now as I am sitting in my car… I had a few to drink so I’m not driving – my dad is…

Anyway. I think that’s about it for my dad. Many that took a lot longer to describe that I originally thought. I actually wanted to talk more about my classes than my day.. but yeah, another time. I cant’ believe I already wrote almost 1000 words… that was only like half an hour. If assignments at school were this easy to write, how amazing would that be.

Phew… I need to sleep… 6:30 AM tomorrow. Not so bad, plus I get to sleep afterward (I’m actually ahead on my readings, horah!).

Big City…

It was so funny today, I was listening to the news, and they started talking about how the “big city” mayors were in conference today… they said big city so many times, and I was laughing each time… The reason is that my friends at Capernwray called me “big city”… hehe… speaking of friends from Capernwray… here’s a special present to you all… especially to you, Jeff (and Kevin, if you ever visit…)

^_^ phew… Anyway… on to what I was going to write about… I’ve completed my collection of books that I needed to buy for the semester (again, I still need to buy 3 more next semester).

Here’s a picture (oh yeah, I’m also trying a little photo-blogging thing kind of right now…)

These books are, from left to right (not including the paper and folders beside it), The Unfinished Nation (HIS271, American History), POL208 Reader (Intro to International Relations), HIS106 Reader (Making the Americas), HIS263 Reader (Canadian History), HIS271 Reader, World Politics (POL208), Journeys (HIS263), American Government (POL203, American Politics), Colonial Latin America (HIS106), The Enduring Debate (POL203), The Broken Spear (HIS106), and Ambivalent Conquests (HIS106).

Unfortunately, I don’t have a total for it, but I think it’s just a little over, or under $800. It’s pretty crazy I know, but I was telling my dad, the worst part isn’t even paying for it… It’s actually reading it.

And read them I shall… this is my life for the next 8 months… I have promised myself that I was actually each and every word that they ask me to read… and them some. I’m going to read even the recommended reading… I have 3 books right now that I actually didn’t need to buy, but I did… So yeah, I guess I’m gonna be a real nerd this year.

Anyway, studying won’t be so hard though, because of this…

This is what I call my “study nook” hehe. There’s the nice comfy chair I bought from Ikea, which I actually watch more tv on than study… LOL. Hmm, I think I actually lied there… Cause actually it’s hard for me to read and do all the other stuff (highlighting and taking notes) while I’m sitting like that… so I do my reading either on my bed, or on the desk.

I’m loving how neat and tidy my room is right now (though my closet is actually kind of messy). It just makes it a good environment to study in.. I’m even learning to control my… not sleeping while I’m in my room habbit… LOL. uhm what that is, is that if I’m in my room for longer than an hour and it’s not bedtime… I most likely have crawled under the covers and gone to sleep. That’s why last year I couldn’t study in my room, I had to do it at school.

But yeah as I keep saying, I’m really determined to get these grades up. I’m looking towards the future now.

Phew… Ok, so on something other than school… I’m really excited, cause my mom found some of my missing game CDs… actually i’m really really excited cause it’s the cds for my favourite game that I have yet to play on my new computer (cause when I bought it like 6 months ago, it didn’t work on my old computer, then I lost the CD before I bought this new computer)… Call of Duty… Whoppeee… Now also, my Call of Duty collection is complete… COD & the expansion, and COD 2.

It’s really good, I mean, I think God was really looking out for me there… in terms of having a lack of money, cause if I didn’t have to buy all these books and I had money to spare, I would have totally bought the CDs that I lost again… which would have been a waste of like 50-60 bucks.

Phew, ok I think I’m done now for sure… Uhmm. I’m gonna play some COD… then do some studying, then go to bed. I gotta be up early tommorow.

I’ve decided that I’m definately going to be starting a Politics Blog. But I just don’t know when I’ll have the time to launch it. But yeah… soon enough I hope…

Reasons why I love my jobs…

So it is pretty much settled where I am going to be and what I am going to be doing for the significant part of the following year… Here are the roles I play.

Volunteer… (all for Morningstar Christian Fellowship)
——————————————————————————————————————————

1. I am a Teacher, for Kid’s Trec.

2. I am the Pianist for the Orchestra.

3. I play on Worship Band 1 (either Keyboard or Piano depending on the week).

Occupation… (involves money… either I get paid, or I pay)
——————————————————————————————————————————
1. I am a Student, double majoring in History and Political Science, working towards an Honours Bachelors Degree, from the University of Toronto.

2. I work at the Student Call Centre/Telefund, as a Student Caller at the University of Toronto.

3. I Teach ESL to Korean children over the phone for TEC Services Inc.

4. I create flyers for Main Square CRC.

5. I teach Piano, at the MCF School of Music.

And now for the real purpose of this post… These are the reasons why I love my jobs (looking at the “Occupation” Section only. It’s pretty obvious why I love volunteering at my church).

1. In terms of being a student, I finally like the majority of the courses I am taking – that is, I’m finally at that point where the only restriction on what I study is based on what’s available to study… and at UofT St. George, there’s alot available (why I chose to go there instead of UofT Scarborough, anyway). I love American History and Politics. I’ll probably get shot as a Canadian for saying that. But whatever. I’ve found that alot of Canadian negative comments about the United States (Politics) are cliche and ignorant. I am also really excited for Canadian History, even though I haven’t really gotten a true sample yet of what the course will be like. I kind of have/had issues with International Relations and Making the Americas (History of North & Latin America), but I’m growing to like it. IR, I have issues with the Prof, but it’s a subject I really enjoy. Making the Americas, I had issues with both the Prof, and the subject matter – basically I am being forced to take it cause I needed a 100-level HIS course and the one I wanted to take was filled up – but after the first lesson, I’m beginning to like the Prof more, and after a little reading into the text books, I’m also beginning to like the subject.

2. All of my jobs involve SITTING DOWN. Oh my, how I love this so… Yah, pretty much all of my other jobs before was’nt quite the same (uhh.. running around with kids at the City of Toronto, and all the standing and walking, working at Old Navy). On one of my jobs- the teaching English to Korean kids one, I actually get to sit on my couch (and even lie down some times).

3. I am earning quite a large amount of money for a low amount of work. Probably the worst thing about my work situation right now is that I have to wake up at 5:30AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 6:30AM on Wednesdays and Fridays. But meh, I’m an early riser anyway. I have jobs that earn alot, and i have one that earn, not as much, but it all evens out to an average that is qutie alot more than I’m used to getting paid per hour, so yay.

4. Alot of my jobs also involve sitting in front of a computer. Which is kind of cool… not that I play games or anything like that while I work, I just like the idea…

5. 12 of the 21 hours that I work per week is working at home. Aiyeeehh… Now I’m just getting spoiled… The rest of the hours are in convenient locations (close to school, or at my church). Well actually, working Friday nights at the Call Centre kinda sucks, cause it basically means I’m downtown every day. But hey, gotta get used to it sometime right?

6. I mentioned this already… my login at the Call Centre is EVANGELIST. LOL how cool is that???

7. Even though to most people, comuting sucks, I am kinda enjoying it. I’m typically working odd hours, so I don’t even catch rush hour that often (there’s only one time during the week that I get caught in it). So it’s pretty much easy going… I really like taking the Go Train, even though it’s expensive. It’s even faster to get downtown than taking the car. So… yeah, but I still do drive on my days (Mondays and Wednesdays) to meet other obligations that I have (even though commuting from my house to downtown is really fast and easy, cause the GO Train station is relaly close, the other places I have to be at aren’t quite so convenient).

8. My jobs really keeps me busy, without stressing me out. Man, just comparing these jobs to this past summer… Blah. Plus I’m really learning some real diligence in making time to study, etc.

9. I only actually have 1 job that I am working with people, (as opposed to like teaching english or piano with the kids, where I’m still tehcnically working alone, even though there’s someone with me…), and that’s at the Call Centre. And most of those people are cool. It’s nice to make friends at school… LOL. Something that’s really hard to do until tutorials start, when pretty much all I do at school is show up for lectures and go home (or go to work).

10. Alright, I made it to 10! The last thing I like about my jobs is the regularity. I really like to have a regular schedule as opposed to finding out every Thursday when I’ll be working the next week. Not that I don’t like spontenuity… what I don’t like is irregularity…

Phew. Ok so there’s my list. I’m having such a blas right now… But we’ll see in a month or so when those assignments start piling up, if these jobs will stand the true test of student life…

Bloggin’ from work…

I’m on break of course! But I couldn’t resist…

Wheeeeee……..

Summer Recap… Part 1

I’m nearing the end of my first full week back at school… $5400 in tuition, and $800 in books later… and… things aren’t bad actually. I’m really enjoying all of my classes, even the one I had issues with on the first day – HIS106, Making the Americas. I kinda thought the prof was a little boring, but that changed today… not that he was less boring.. or… whatever. LOL. I just ended up enjoying his class… and I think I’ll keep on enjoying it. Oh I did have issues too with POL208, Intro to International Relations… the prof is kinda annoying… or stupid… well I doubt stupid, but you know… It was just a stupid class today, but I kinda understand, it’s the first class ever… But yeah, it better be good… this is my specialty choice… almost all of the rest of the courses I plan to take involve International Relations.

Anyway, been working like crazy… I’ve had a ton of first days this week… first day of school… first day of like 3 different jobs… it’s pretty crazy. But I’m getting into the groove of things. As I mentioned before… actually I lied before… I’m eventually going to have 800 dollars worth of text books.. Right now, I have like $720, I have 10 already, and I have 5 more to buy :S. 2 of the ones I already have (and 2 more of the ones I still need to buy) are “recommended” only… Which, normally, I wouldn’t buy. But yeah, meh… I secretly believe that I can actually pull off a 4.0 Sessional GPA… which raises my CGPA up like crazy… Well now it’s not so secret, but meh, that really is my goal. And I’m gonna do everything to get it… Like actually read all of the recommended readings.

Then there’s my schedule… Which is just ridiculous… Well, not really. Tuesdays and Thursdays are ridiculous. Both days, I start my day at 5:30AM, and on Tuesdays, I end it at around 10PM, while Thursdays, I end it around 7PM. Crazy huh? but not really… Wednesdays and Fridays, I still have to wake up early (but only 6:30, instead of 5:30). But then after work (Teaching ESL to Korean kids over the phone…) I get to nap until noon or so… cause I don’t have to be anywhere again until later that afternoon/evening. Oh and of course there’s Mondays, when I only have 1 class.

Saturdays are completely free for me, but Sundays are pretty hectic. This Sunday I’ll be at church pretty much at around 7:30AM, and I’ll probably be there until 7:30PM (3 services + orchestra rehearsal). hehe. Fun. That’s pretty much the same every week, cause starting the 24th, I’ll have Orchestra and Trec (but I don’t play every Sunday).

So yeah, I still think that my schedule is actually pretty solid… definately not as bad as the Summer’s 50 hour weeks… I’ve only got probably 30 hours worth of school and activities. But when you factor in commute times (typically 2 hours a day), it does add up. But yeah, as I said in my comment to Biebs, at least I can still catch Prison Break on Monday nights, and House on Tuesdays (through time shifting). I actually will miss Don Newman, cause I’m out of the house every day 3PM to whenever… And Don Newman’s on at 5PM.. But it doesn’t really matter all that match, cause actually I’m supposed to start paying more attention to International News, and to American News (my two POL classes). So I’m actually going to start reading The New York Times more….

Phew, ok, so I was supposed to start writing a recap of my summer. It’s something I actually started last week, but then something happened, and my browser crashed after I typed so much already. So I got discouraged. But eventually I’ll get around to it. LOL.

I’m working tommorow and Saturday, but after Saturday, I’m almost never gonna work Saturdays ever again… So yeah… I’ll get on it sometime… Whee.

More lists…

I really enjoy this list writing thing, cause I can switch between random topics without having to write a transition (like someone like me who writes like… 50,000 words worth of essays and assignments a year, that’s about 200-300 pages worth)… Anyway, here it goes…

1. I’ve been watching alot of DVDs on my computer lately. Which is pretty cool. Or, I mean to say, it’s amazing that I’m getting used to it (kinda two extremes at my house, switching between the 12″ laptop screen and the 51″ TV), but yeah, I’m really liking it. I’m working my way through House Season 1 right now – I bought the set on Saturday, during my crazy shopping spree. It was cheap… I’m gonna buy Season 2 soon… well, actually I should probably wait a coupla pay cheques. But yeah, I’ve watched a few movies on my laptop, and 8 House episodes.

2. So pretty much those two… House and Prison Break are the shows I’m really really into right now, which is gonna suck cause I’m going to be working on Monday and Tuesday nights in the fall… I’m also kinda into Vanished, and I’m probably gonna like this new show also coming out caleld Standoff.. but yeah, I’ve got my priorities this school year… It’s all about graduate school…

3. Speaking of work, I’m gonna be training to do this Telefund thing in UofT this week… That’ll be an alright job, I think… it’s still telemarketing, but at least some of these people expect to be telemarketed (UofT Alumni). It pays pretty good, about 11 bucks an hour, though it’s not the best out there. What’s relaly good about it is that it’s in UofT, so as long as they don’t make me work on Fridays (I don’t even think they’re open on Fridays), I’m good, except for the long days I’m gonna have. I’m also gonna be teaching piano at Morningstar on Thursdays… I’ve heard I already have one student… Rob’s gonna try to find me 3-4, and I’m also writing a curriculum for a possible chording course. Finally, I’m still with the City of course…

4. I just saw a trailer for the season premier of House… grr.. I can’t wait…

5. Ok, back to the City… I’m gonna be working for Main Square… Gonna pick up a couple of “In Charge” shifts (Main Square is in South District, and for some reason, thats what they call Assistant Managers), after I get trained of course. Also, I’m gonna be doing flyers for them… I dunno what pay rate she’s (she being my boss, Giselle) gonna put me on, but I’m assuming, at the least that is, that it’ll be the same as my rate for the summer… So yeah, wow, 3 different jobs, that’s gotta be a record or something, and school of course… But yeah, I’m probably only gonna do 6 hours a week at the call centre, 2 teaching piano, and probably 8 for all of the stuff I do for the city. So it’s not even that bad… I’m gonna try hard to keep my Fridays completely open, but I’m gonna work Saturdays.

6. I had this point I wanted to make before, but it had nothing to do with the other things I was gonna write about. But now I forgot that point, so I’m gonna finish here… my batery is running low anyway… Probably gonna watch another House episode or two….
